Hello!

My name is brooke petermann and I’m the woman behind Good Life Organizing!

I am here to help you declutter and organize your home to help combat the overwhelm that comes along with having too many things in your space.

I am a Christian, a wife, and a mom of three kids (currently in middle and upper-elementary school).

I am an artist, working out of my home studio when I’m not organizing. (Check out my art site here.) I also worked in the healthcare field in Lincoln for 16 years.

I naturally lean toward minimalism, but I didn’t do my first big round of whole-house decluttering until 2016. At the time, we had a newborn, a two-year-old and four-year-old. It felt like all the things in our house were out of control. My stress levels were skyrocketing accordingly.

Through decluttering and organizing, I hoped to make our house easier to maintain and manage, to give myself more time with my family, and to limit the number of microdecisions I had to make on a day-to-day basis.

And it worked!

With fewer things to constantly put away, rearrange, and clean around I felt lighter, more energetic, and like I could truly give more focused time to my kids.

It wasn’t a one-and-done situation. Things still find their way into our home. I still go through seasons of more intense decluttering and organizing. But now that I know the freedom that comes with less, I will always be a super-fan of decluttering and will continue to turn to simplifying when my space starts to tax my emotions.

I would love nothing more than to help you achieve a degree of freedom in your own space!
